There is a new king on YouTube.
“Despacito” a reggaeton-pop song by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee is now the most-viewed video on YouTube reaching 3 billion views. It is also the first video to reach such numbers.
The “Despacito” is a song about romantic fantasies and sexual relationship. It topples “See You Again” music video by Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa.
Before its YouTube success, “Despacito” became a worldwide hit and topped the charts of more than 40 countries. It also became the first song primarily in Spanish to top the Billboard Hot 100 since “Macarena” in 1996.
The singer of the song, Luis Fonsi expressed glee via a Twitter post for this new achievement.
