Apple successfully launched iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at the newest Apple theater dedicated to the company’s founder, Steve Jobs Theater in front of Apple Campus in California last Tuesday.

The much-anticipated iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have all the upgrades starting from the exterior design up to internal hardware.


iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus both have Aerospace-grade aluminum frame and built with an all glass design made up of 2.5D durable curved glass.

Both handset are also water and dust resistant. External parts were joined precisely to counter microscopic rudiments.

Wireless charging is new to Apple devices. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Pus offer wireless charging through a glass back and embedded wireless charging system.

Upgraded speakers with 25 percent louder and deeper bass perfect for movies and music streaming.

Stronger security with just a touch. Touch ID instantly lock your phone and sign in your favorite apps.

Both come in 3 different colors; space gray, silver and gold finishes and sports a 4.7-inch 1,334 x 750 pixels IPS
LCD display for iPhone 8 and 5.5-inch 1920-by-1080-pixel resolution at 401 ppi multi-touch display for the iPhone 8 Plus.


Both iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have 12MP rear camera. iPhone 8 has f/1.8 Aperture while iPhone 8 Plus telephoto has an aperture of f/2.8. A digital zoom up to 5x. With a new color filter, both unit promise to create astonishing photos and videos.

The 7MP front camera is perfect for Facetime and selfies.

Apple introduced a new camera feature for iPhone 8 Plus called Portrait Lightning with sensors that map your face to improve lightning.

Apple also claims that iPhone 8 plus will produce the best videos with 4K 60fps video, 1080p 240fps slow-mo.


iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus both have an A11 Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture, Neural Engine and Embedded M11 motion coprocessor that ensures an all-out performance.

The A11 Bionic chip delivers 70% faster multiload servers perfect for app-switching and gaming. Inside this powerful chip is a new signal processor that automatically enhances low-light focus, noise reduction and color brilliance.

iPhone 8 base price is $699 USD or around P35,000 pesos while iPhone 8 Plus will price at $799 or around P40,000 pesos. Pre-orders will be available in the US starting on September 15, 2017.
