Facebook Users Reach Two-Billion Mark

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, happily announced last Tuesday that active monthly users of the mentioned social- networking site now counts two billion. Zuckerberg happily wrote a post saying that he’s honored to be on the journey with all of the users.

Facebook was founded in 2004 and reached 1 billion users in October 2012. Aside from serving its sole purpose of connecting people, the site has updated several times since it was created to be able to establish itself beside its competitors and adapt to trends.

Before Zuckerberg’s post, it has already been announced last Monday that the site is starting to be in line with broadcasting high-quality television series and game shows.

Facebook is also currently on the spot of battling the sweep spreading of trolls and misinformation without having the users’ freedom of speech suffer. An anti-terror partnership focused on hindering false content online was also launched last Monday together with Microsoft, Twitter, and Youtube.

Zuckerberg said in a reply to a comment that Facebook still has a long way to go to be able to connect all the 7 billion population of the world but he aims to do more than just that.
