ABS-CBN took home 20 awards, including the Most Outstanding Media award, as they were recognized by the administrators, faculty, staff, students, and parents of De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU) at the 6th Gawad Lasallianeta on Monday (January 29).
Unkabogable Superstar Vice Ganda emerged as the most awarded Kapamilya personality, scooping up four awards such as the Most Outstanding Social Media Personality, Most Influential Filipino Celebrity, Most Outstanding X Influencer, and Most Outstanding Male Entertainment Show Host.
Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo was named Most Outstanding Brand Endorser and Most Outstanding Film Actress for “A Very Good Girl,” which also bagged the Most Outstanding Filipino Film.
Multi-awarded actress and show host Anne Curtis won the Most Outstanding Female Entertainment Show Host for “It’s Showtime” which was also recognized by the DLSAU community, bagging the award for Most Outstanding Variety Show, while “Magandang Buhay” hosts Regine Velasquez, Jolina Magdangal, and Melai Cantiveros was hailed as the Most Outstanding Talk Show Hosts.
Meanwhile, Donny Pangilinan won as Most Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for “Can’t Buy Me Love,” while top-rated Kapamilya series “Dirty Linen” clinched the Most Outstanding Teleserye award.
In the news and current affairs category, “TV Patrol” was voted as Most Outstanding News Show, while ABS-CBN journalist and “TV Patrol” anchor Karen Davila was hailed as the Most Outstanding Female News Anchor and Most Outstanding Current Affairs Talk Show Host.
Additionally, Karen also won alongside Migs Bustos as Most Outstanding Public Affairs Show Hosts for “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo,” which also won Most Outstanding Public Affairs Show, while Kapamilya journalist Alvin Elchico was named as the Most Outstanding Male News Correspondent.
ABS-CBN’s Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. was also awarded the Zeal for Excellence for its transformative educational content for Filipino children.
Gawad Lasallianeta is the DLSAU awarding ceremony for the most outstanding media and public communicators in the Philippines. A university-wide survey among all DLSAU administrators, staff, faculty members, parents, and students was conducted in November 2022 to determine the awardees of the various categories.
